This project is perfect for me; I really enjoy working with Graphite 45 paper Collections and Steam Punk in general. When I started the project the first though I had; was a Clock, however I wanted to add a Mini in the cavity of the wheel. Looking at the paper collection I think I found the right one.
Love the Girl; although you can’t see it, she’s on a Bicycle. Both the paper and the Bicycle lend themselves to each other.
I used alcohol ink and clear embossing power to stain and age the Bicycle; the original was smooth and a shiny silver metal.
Fussy cutting the Girl out of the paper collection and mounting her on a thick piece of chip board to make her sturdier; I covered a round piece of chip board and mounted the back ground paper first, and added her with dimensional to set her apart from the background.
I covered the rear door to the wheel with pattered paper from the collection after cutting it out with a round circle die. I used the same paper selection to cover the wood platform the Bicycle sits on and using a Chip Board Tag from the collection (Vintage Voyage) I attached it to the front of the wood platform.
O made a small round mini out of chip board and using the chip board tags and various embellishments to complete the mini. I used a binding ring and tied ribbon to add to the mini, it fits very well in the rear of the wheel of the Bicycle.
Using flowers from my stash, metal embellishments, vintage Butterflies, stains and Lindys Stamp Gang sprays, and with a lot of care and enjoyment I finished the Bicycle. I think this is a wonderful project for any decor and any taste.
